Kings Charter Youth Tennis Awards - Monday, 2/15

The 2009 Kings Charter Youth Tennis Awards Night has been rescheduled to Monday, February 15th at 6pm at the Kings Charter Clubhouse.

We are asking everyone to RSVP to MaryJane Spagnolo so that we can make sure to order enough pizza and drinks! You will either receive an email or phone call from MaryJane in the next few days.

Youth Tennis Awards Night Rescheduled

The 2009 Kings Charter Youth Tennis Awards Night is being rescheduled due to the weather.

Please check back her daily as we should be posting the new date very soon.

Once it has been rescheduled we are asking everyone to RSVP to MaryJane Spagnolo so that we order enough pizza and drinks!

If you have every wondered about some of the rules when playing a social match or a USTA match, there is "The Code." Every tennis player should be aware of these rules and codes of conduct.

Kings Charter Fall Doubles Tournament

The Kings Charter Fall Doubles Tennis Tournament starts next week so get your doubles team together and get your registration form into the Clubhouse as soon as you can!

The tournament is a double elimination tournament and is open to all Kings Charter men and women (and a guest if you prefer). There are multiple brackets for the Men's doubles teams and the Women's doubles teams for USTA 6.0, 7.0, and Open brackets for teams with combined ratings over the 7.0 rating.

The tournament will consist of 3 to 5 matches played over 10 days in order to accomodate everyone's schedule. That comes out to about ONLY 2 matches a week!

Clubhouse Courts Under Repair

The Clubhouse tennis courts will be unavailable for play beginning Friday, 7/24 through Friday, 7/31 due to reparis to the tennis court surface. When the cracks were patched and the surface leveled and sealed the Recreation Committee felt that the repairs were not satisfactory. Working with the Community Manager the committee has arranged for the contractor to fix the defects under warranty.

This time period was the only time we could get the contractor back out here to get the repairs done right.

We apologize for the unavailability of the courts. Teh Lakeview courts are still available.
